Forget manic mondays.

In a world that LIVES for the weekend...who cares about Tuesday?

I have decided to acknowledge my interactions with this insane world on the day that the London School of Economics has dubbed as our most likely day to be "miserable" and "down in the dumps". Tuesday. For years I have been using the phrase "it was a tuesday" in ironic/comical conversation with my friends and family. Monday has always been referred to as tough, to get out of bed and to try to face the week ahead with a positive outlook is daunting. Perhaps this is why so many things have been created to brighten Tuesdays, which we have to wake up and realize every Tuesday morning that we aren't even half way to Friday yet, and that job you hate, boss you loathe, and commute that taps every part of your withering soul from existence will be haunting you for the next 4 days.

So lets start with some negatives.

Tuesday May 29: 1453 the fall of Constantinople.
Tuesday October 29, 1929: 'Black Tuesday' a major part in the Stock Market Crash of 1929
Tuesday September 11, 2001: World Trade Center Diaster

but there are good things!

Fat Tuesday! Follows the last day of Lent and a major day in the Mardi Gras celebration!
Tuesday is Election day in the US, for many different events such as the primaries and presidential elections.
New episodes of many prime time shows are released on tuesdays offering a reprieve from our work routines.
Many Bars, restaurants, clubs, and hot spots offer, 2$ Tuesdays, 2 for 1 Tuesdays, and other such things to help us make it through till Friday.

So lets make the best of these often tough and terrible days together!

So periodically I will be writing a blog for this day, some days it might not be the best topic of discussion, but I will try to breath some light into this gloomy day, recap recent events, discuss future ones, and of course cause some Gayhem.

You have been warned.
